bX-l4u1mh – the error that’s ruining my blog life

By Nadia V. (Mama and the City)

I have been working on my 2012 blog edition in the last couple of days – I know, it totally feels like a car when it’s about to be released for its new look of the year. I invested a couple of hours here and there with this new look mostly because the baby still requires a lot of my attention and could not commit to give more. And finally, last night, it was decently completed. It did not feel like a lot of work was done or at least, what I was aiming to do I could tweak the HTML without complications.

Some illustration needed to be done to match the design I had in my head, but I did not invest a lot of time perfecting it since I would need at least a day to work on every single aspect of it. So, illustration was done and completed. Installation of some plug ins tested. And it was done.
I accessed my blog this morning again and it looked fine. All pieces were working fine. In and Out fine. However, I remember I needed to add something extra, something that I forgot to do last night. So I went to the “Dashboard” section and headed over to the “Design” tab when my face with open jaw saw this:
At first, I glanced and thought it was like an “over capacity,” or “refresh this link,” or “come back again in a couple of minutes” kind of thing. But no, it wasn’t it. This error seems to be more malignant than that. It seems it’s the end of my blogging days in Blogger.

Time to panic now. So what does it mean? Oh. Oh? Oh!!!… Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I can’t be stuck with this design forever and ever. As any other regular blogger without any computer programming knowledge I am so dependent to the widget section of this site. I feel blogger-handicapped.

I managed to calmed myself down and read again the error message, maybe it was a mistake. I refreshed the link again and it’s still there. Ok, so I signed out and in again and still there! Whaaaaat.

I braved myself and clicked at the link provided in the message to attempt to find the group that is going to rescue me from this catastrophe. Nada. There is no such a group. This is misleading information Blogger, shame on you.
Then I braved myself again and went to “google” (ironic) to find the term bX-l4u1mh and nada. What the hell does this term stand for? And why I can’t find any readable information? All I found was either in Chinese, Russian or Pangaracutirimicuaro, and I barely remember how to speak the last one.

1-800-Google doesn’t even exist!. Why the hell do companies accustom their consumers to dial an 800 number followed by their company name if they won’t pick up, huh?

As my teenager self would have said in this kind of situation, “my life is over”.

UPDATE: I have been using Chrome as my internet browser (another Google product, ahem). So, I followed one of the tips in one of the comments below — Thank you so much for them by the way. For gadget-widget or any other non-programmed html code edits I can safely access it if I switch from Chrome to Internet Explorer. Yay! Now, let’s bug the crap out of Google and Blogger with this non-sense issue. I love Chrome and not happy switching.
